Online Security

WHETHER YOU'RE BANKING ONLINE OR A MILLION MILES AWAY.. YOU CAN REST EASY KNOWING WERE PROTECTING YOUR ACCOUNT

CSE is serious about safeguarding your Personal Information online.  The following information is designed to give you information about safety and security of your CSE  accounts.  We want to provide a safe and secure online experience while respecting your privacy.

Multi-Factor Authentication...... an additional layer of security
CSE is making improvements to the way you access your sensitive account information.  Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is a process where the financial institution has the ability to authenticate a   member who is accessing electronic account access by using multiple factors.

Our new security feature works 24/7, just like you.  So no matter where you are and no matter what you are doing our free identity verification service will be protecting your account.

What is the new security feature?

In order to make your online banking experience as secure as possible we are introducing a new security feature that watches for uncharacteristic or unusual behavior involving your account.  If anything out of the ordinary is detected, we will ask you to verify your identity.

How does it work?

In the rare case we detect any unusual or uncharacteristic activity; we will ask you to either answer security questions or a phone call from us to make sure that its really you.  Most of the time you wont notice that the security feature is even there..but will still be protecting you 24/7.

Do I need to sign up for the new security system?

We are rolling out the new security system to all of our members.  Expect to be prompted at some     point while accessing your account online to enter additional information.  This may include choosing several security questions that only you know the answers to as well as supplying phone numbers where you can be reached while accessing you account online.  Once this occurs you have added a        layer of protection to your account!

If you have any questions please contact a CSE representative by emailing    info@csefcu.org  or     phone (local) 337.625.5747 or (toll-free) 800.625.5747.

 Phishing Alert!

Please DO NOT RESPOND to any emails requesting personal or account information.  CSE Federal Credit Union does not send emails requesting personal information via email unless the communication was first initiated by a member request.  CSE FCU highly recommends that any personal information be made by contacting your credit union at (337)625.5747 or (800)625.5747 (toll free).

***PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND to any emails purporting to be from the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) requesting additional information, with the threat of account closure if you do not complete the verification process.  These are "phishing" attempts to gain access to your credit union accounts!  The credit union, its affiliates, or its regulatory agency (NCUA) will never ask you for your personal or account information.

The following link shows an example of a Phishing attempt reported to the credit union:

Phishing Email Example
